Should Smoking in Public Places be Banned?
Nowadays many countries in the world have passed laws to ban smoking in public places. Some smokers claim that their rights are infringed if smoking is forbidden in public places. However, most non-smokers regard the ban as good news. As far as I’m concerned, smoking should be banned in all the public places such as restaurants, theaters and public squares.
On the one hand, smoking is harmful both for smokers themselves and others. It is reported that every year smoking causes millions of death around the world. On the other hand, smoking pollutes the air. Just imagine that you sit in a restaurant full of smoke, how can you enjoy your meal there? Besides, smoking is bad for the elevation of a country’s image in the world.
I believe if smoking is banned in all the public places, most of us will breathe in more fresh and clean air. And the health condition of all the people will be greatly improved.

We"ve all been taught that we should help people. It is the right thing todo and will make us popular with others. It may even win us favors in return.However, we must be realistic.
We can"t say yes to every request. If we did, we would fail or go crazy forsure. Sometimes we simply don"t have the time to help. In this case, we mustknow how to say no politely.
When we need to say no, here is one method we can try. First, we shouldtell the truth. If we really can"t do something, we should just say so. Second,we should remember to refuse requests politely.
We must communicate clearly, but must also be sincere and sympathetic. Atrue friend will understand.
Finally, we must not feel guilty about saying no. Sometimes refusing othersis the right thing to do. It can save ourselves, and them, a lot of trouble. Inshort, we cannot please everyone all the time. Refusing favors is a part oflife.
